I am currently an Associate Professor of Art at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, and spend summers in Miyazaki, Japan with my family. In 2003 I graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL with a BFA in Drawing and Painting, after which I lived in Kagoshima City with my wife, where we opened a conversational English school. In 2006 I started my MFA in Drawing and Painting at California State University, Long Beach. After graduation in 2008, I taught at Eastern Kentucky University, Vincennes University, and Eastern Illinois University before reaching Beaumont. My artwork combines aspects of comics with large scale drawing and painting, as illustration has always been in the background of my art since childhood. The artwork on this website are examples of my illustrations and concept art apart from my other work in fine arts. Please enjoy.
